Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to overcome the objection of "No Name Policy" when calling a new prospect. _________________ Specialist telemarketing consultants. | Just keep trying every week or every few days. chances are one day that demon receptionist will be off and someone else will be covering-hopefully a temp who doesnt know they have a no names policy. |

Bear in mind that if you're calling everyday for say 5 or more days, you're likely to upset the receptionist enough to at some point before she leaves for her day off, to tell the temp that you are calling. Yes if she's sick, it's possible unless you annoyed her THAT much that when she rang in on her deathbed she instructed the same message to be pass on to the temp.
There is also the possibly your daily call would get lost in a sea of other callers trying the same trick but if that's the case you've got stiff competition anyhow!
I'd suggest the narrower road, try persuading her. For a male charming her may be a way. Not sure about women, perhaps strike up a rapport with her?! If you can get comfortable enough go for a "Go on dorris, I’ll call him direct- no one will know!" |

Resources like the one you mentioned here will be very useful to me! I will post a link to this page on my blog. I am sure my visitors will find that very useful.

Hi
I think there are two types of gate keepers with the no names policy in mind ... ones that work to this as a complete rule and some that can be exposed into giving the name away......
It really is a challenge and it can be rewarding after a while of not getting through.

I am just such a gate keeper, working for a large and prestigious company.
I am constantly inundated with people selling things, and am under strict instructions to keep them at bay.
I often find it very amusing when telemarketers call me and as to speak to XYZ, to respond with a simple, blunt "no". Some of their reactions are just priceless!
After all, why should I waste any of your time, when I know the person who you want to speak to will only give the same answer? |
